This November 26, the gallery at The Civic hosts their latest edition of Apothecarium, Barnsley’s very own alternative craft market, catering for fans of all things gothic, steampunk, vintage, retro and geek. It’s the perfect opportunity to find that unique gift for Christmas, while also supporting local independent businesses and craft makers.

Included amongst this November’s stall holders are regulars Petit Boutique Du Chocolat, who produce exquisite, fancy moulded chocolates; Laurian Grays Wardrobe who sells and fits a beautiful array of unique corsets, Brierley Bears and their hand-crafted one of a kind bears, hares and other animals, and Time Was with a range of TV based Sci-Fi and Fantasy toys, games and collectables. New additions include Professor Pin-Up, offering a range of homemade toiletries and cosmetics and Punk Cat Leather, with a range of hand-carved leather accessories.

Also on offer will be a range of refreshments and bees wax and candle making workshops with Juju Treats. Live music will come in the form of The Willows, a local acoustic duo and Dozy, an 8-bit elector swing art. So don’t miss out, come along to the Gallery@ The Civic on Saturday 26 November between 10am and 4pm, and as always, admission is free.

And don’t forget about the little ones! To get you in the Christmas spirit The Civic also have an alternative to the traditional Christmas Pantomime with Pif-Paf and Tell Tale Hearts rendition of Snow White.
