– Tested by kids, loved by everyone –
When we were approached by Fruit Heroes to tell Entertain the Kids about the new Fruit Heroes Fruit Bars we were keen to put them to the test with my children William (age 5) and Georgina (age 13).
I opened a bar of each flavour and cut them into pieces into separate bowls – the plan for them to taste them and tell me "what flavour they are".
It was a definitely "I'm not going there" by my 13yr old but William was keen to get "stuck in to some sweeties".
His initial reaction was "Yum Yum YUMMY" but the question "which flavour do you like best" didn't work because I noticed he had them in his hands and we couldn't distinguish which was which.
Shortly afterwards however, he decided he didn't like them at all… 4 clean bowls say different…!!!
So, as suggested in the information provided by Fruit Heroes – the fruit bars can be used in cooking – so we gave them a go and they went down a storm both with William and some of his friends – well what kid doesn't like cakes & cookies ?

Several dietary studies show that children receive some of their daily energy from eating between meals – which makes good sense. Your child needs several smaller meals during the day, to make sure the energy level, mood, concentration and learning ability is at its best.
Fruit Heroes fruit bars can count as one of your “five a day”, proving that snacks and treats can be sweet and satisfying but also part of a balanced diet. Healthy in between meal snacks ensure a good and regular energy input and reduce the child’s desire for food that contains a lot of fat and added sugar. Nutritious bites in between meals can also help avoid childhood obesity whilst providing the energy your children need for fun and games, sporting activities and homework.
Making good stuff great, Fruit Heroes is all about giving the goodness of fruit to kids in an exciting and appealing way. Created using only the finest ingredients (and lots of love and care!), to offer a unique range, which is full of variety and flavour that’s tempting to all – not just kids! The fun stuff – recipes :
William and I decided to try out some of the recipes suggested by Fruit Heroes – the Granola Bars were yummi and the Fruit Pop Cakes were fun to make but William didn't fancy the others. We also used them with oats as a healthy topping to stewed fruit to make a crumble – but we used strawberries to provide natural sweetness to the fruit rather than sugar – RESULT !
