A simple way for adults, expectant mums and infants to spray their way to healthy vitamin D levels has won two prestigious awards.

BetterYou’s DLux3000 vitamin D oral spray beat off 16 other products to scoop ‘Best Supplement’ at the 2016 National Health Trade Summit in association with the National Association of Health Stores.

BetterYou’s DLuxPregnancy and DLuxInfant vitamin D oral sprays both picked up gongs at the Boots maternity & infant Awards 2016 – where products are tested and voted for by parents.

DLuxPregnancy picked up silver in the category of ‘Best Maternity Product’, while DLuxInfant picked up bronze for ‘Best Baby Supplement’.

Of DLuxPregnancy voters said that they ‘loved that it was a tablet alternative’ and also praised its convenience, cost effectiveness and taste.

Voters for DLuxInfant said that it was ‘incredibly easy to give to their children’ as many didn’t like chewable tablets. They also commented that the taste was gentle for children.

These award wins for DLuxInfant and DLuxPregnancy come shorty after recognition at the Best Baby and Toddler Gear Awards by Mummii in September 2016 [1].

Andrew Thomas, founder and managing director of BetterYou, said: “These award wins come at a time when Public Health England recommends everyone take a vitamin D supplement – not just pregnant women, and children under five years.

“The fact that a selection of our DLux sprays have earned these awards is fantastic. We are pleased that people are at last starting to properly understand the advantages oral sprays offer and why they are so superior compared to their tablet equivalents.”

Vitamin D promotes the development and maintenance of bones and teeth, supports a healthy immune system and aids muscle development.

Multiple clinical trials have found that oral vitamin sprays elevate serum vitamin D levels faster than traditional tablets and capsules [2].

BetterYou’s range of DLux oral vitamin D sprays come in different strengths for people of all ages. The key benefits of an oral spray include convenience and guaranteed absorption which traditional tablets, capsules and drops simply can’t. An oral spray doesn’t require water to take and does not need to be taken with food.

BetterYou is supporting Vitamin D Awareness Week (24-30 October 2016) and aims to eradicate vitamin D deficiency in the UK by 2020.

The DLux range is priced from £5.95 and is available from Holland & Barratt and all good health stores.

What does Entertain the Kids think?

When we were asked if we would like to review a sample, it was an immediate yes. As a sufferer of Fibromyalgia, I am often hearing how pain is lessened with the continued use of a VitD supplement, I cannot confirm any benefits as yet but there are definitely no negatives.

An easy to use pump dispenser that will easily fit into your handbag, changing bag, or even your make up bag.

I have had no problems with my son William (age 7) taking it either, in fact, it is he who reminds me (forgetful mummy).

A delicate minty taste, similar to the fresh feel after brushing.

Definitely a new habit formed in “The Steed Household”.
