The festive cheer has taken over Manchester today as residents sighted Father Christmas himself visiting iconic city landmarks ahead of the opening of his magnificent Grotto at Chill Factore this weekend (5th November).

The only Christmas Grotto in the UK on real snow, surrounded by sparkling trees, glistening lights and chattering elves, Santa’s Grotto at Chill Factore is open every weekend from 5th November and every day in December right up until Christmas Eve.

Anticipation has spread across the city after residents spotted Santa leaving Manchester Victoria train station and taking in the sights of Market Street and The Printworks before heading towards Chill Factore with a snowboard in hand!

One Manchester resident told us; “I couldn’t quite believe my eyes, I said there’s Snow way that could be him! The only men in red you usually see around here are United fans!

“Given his attire, it looked like he was ready to hit the slopes, probably enjoying the last few days of his holiday before his Grotto opens this weekend. Makes sense for the big man to visit Manchester, everybody here is definitely on the nice list.”

Morwenna Angove, CEO of Chill Factore, said; “We can confirm that Santa has arrived in North West of England ahead of the opening of Santa’s Grotto this weekend and we understand that he will be arriving in style to Chill Factore so watch out!

“We look forward to welcoming you and your little ones to experience the magic of Santa’s Grotto set in Chill Factore. Santa’s Grotto at Chill Factore is the only Grotto of its kind in the UK and is extremely popular. Please make sure to book early so that your family doesn’t miss out the opportunity to pass him your Christmas wish list this year!”

With the crunch of the real snow below the feet, visitors will be stunned by the magnificent Santa’s castle, real Christmas trees and illuminations. Visitors coming to see Santa also have the opportunity to book hours of fun for the whole family in the Snow Park – playing on the Downhill Donuts, the slip ‘n’ slide Luges, and Sledge ‘o’ Mania lane.

There is also something for little ones under the age of 4 after meeting Santa in his Grotto, by booking Mini Moose Land. Mini Moose Land is set in the grounds of Santa’s Grotto, filled with lots of fun activities for you and your little ones to enjoy. And the fun still doesn’t stop there – Peppa Pig will be coming to visit Chill Factore on the 12th & 13th and 19th & 20th  November.
