What is it? A weekend at Legoland, staying at the Coppid Beech Hotel.
Where? Just outside Braknell town centre not far from Windsor, off the A329M, which leads to the M4.
Description: [LEGOLAND_RIDE.jpg]With nice weather looming, Lena Haskins whisked her family off to a weekend in Legoland.
If you want a great weekend, fun for both children and adults, this is the place to go. Legoland is fantastic for small children, although my 15-year-old son enjoyed it as well. And the Alpine-style hotel is clean and comfortable, with amenities such as a swimming pool and sauna to keep everyone happy.
Legoland kept us busy all day, and we were so tired in the evening we wanted nothing more than a meal and quick drink. If you want to extend your stay outside the park head for nearby Windsor, it’s beautiful and there are lovely shops and places to eat.
When you return to the hotel visit The Keller, themed on a traditional Austrian Bier Keller, with live music and drinks. The Apres nightclub, billed as ‘Berkshire’s sexiest night spot’, hosts special guest DJ’s from popular radio stations on the weekend.
The hotel can organise babysitting services if you let them know in advance.
The Waves Health and Fitness Club has a full equipped gym, swimming pool, children’s paddling pool, sauna, steam room and spa bath. There are also sunbeds and a beauty salon.
Local activities: There are lots of things to do in the area but as we stayed only for two nights, a day in Legoland and a day out in Windsor were enough!
Wish we had known: …that the hotel restaurant was going to be so nice. I would have brought nicer clothes to dress up in!
