Classic Nursery Rhymes
12 Favourite Children’s Nursery Rhymes and Songs
Release Date: 31st October 2016
With their previous albums fast approaching 30 million plays worldwide,
Nursery Rhymes 123 bring you their latest release “Classic Nursery Rhymes”
This fun, upbeat, sing-along album is ideal for helping little ones learn counting (Five Little Speckled Frogs, Three Blind Mice, Five Little Monkeys), body parts (Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes) and actions (If You’re Happy And You Know It, Pat-a-Cake, Pop Goes The Weasel, London Bridge).
Several of the songs feature sound effects and silly voices to add a bit of comedy too; guaranteed to keep your little ones entertained! In addition to the vocal versions of the songs, there are also 12 instrumental versions ‑ great for singing along with your children, for use in play schools, or simply as background music.
Classic Nursery Rhymes features the stunning voice of UK based singer-songwriter Martha Bean. Martha is also a talented multi-instrumentalist who plays a wide range of different instruments on the album, including piano, double bass, cello, banjo, guitar, recorder, autoharp, mandolin, melodica and percussion. For parents who’ve had to endure countless hours of children’s music made with cheap sounding keyboards and synthesisers, the variety of instruments on this record and the focus on real sounds will come as a breath of fresh air!
Nursery Rhymes 123’s two previous releases Lullaby Baby and 11 Nursery Rhymes and Songs have been hugely popular, sharing over 10.5 million streams on Spotify. Their cleverly animated videos — illustrated by Anne Wilkins — have also been a runaway success, with over 19.2 million YouTube views making a total of almost 30 million plays across all channels.
Nursery Rhymes 123 began in 2010 as collaboration between BAFTA award winning director and father-of-two Dan Smith, and singer-songwriter Martha Bean. Having been frustrated at the lack of good-quality Nursery Rhymes available on YouTube, they wanted to create some beautiful music (and animations to match) which parents could bear listening to on repeat!
To complement their albums, Nursery Rhymes 123 have also been curating a range of Spotify playlists, featuring a mixture of their own and other artists’ music. With titles such as “Kids Sing Along” and “Baby Bedtime Lullabies”, parents can press play and look forward to hours of non-stop musical entertainment for their little ones. A full list of these playlists — each with its own individual cute artwork — can be found on their website and Spotify artist page.
Classic Nursery Rhymes is an essential album for any families with inquisitive, music-loving children. It’s available to purchase on iTunes for £7.99, or you can stream the album on Spotify. The album is also available on all other major download and streaming sites including Amazon Mp3, Google Play and Apple Music.

What do Entertain the Kids think?
We were delighted to be asked to review this CD. Quite simply, we loved it. Not only was it fun re-enacting the actions with William (age7) but I found I still had the CD playing in the background long after he went to bed. We all love the classic nursery rhymes, Classic Nursery Rhymes from Nursery Rhymes 123 will not disappoint.
