We want to share this thought-provoking PSA from Denmark. In the midst of all the commercial campaigns of the holiday season, Red Cross Denmark hope that the below video will give you a different perspective and some food for thought.
Even though Denmark is said to be one of the World’s most wealthiest and happiest nations, there are still a lot of children who do not have the joy of experiencing Christmas. The festive season is, for a lot of families, expensive and not everyone can afford the tree, the presents and everything that follows.
To help these families, Red Cross Denmark has created awareness by asking parents in Denmark to prank their children by telling them that this year there will be no Christmas.
Fortunately for these children it is only a joke. But for thousands of families and children it is not.
Each year more and more families in need apply for “Christmas baskets” with food, goodies and presents to get through the holiday season. Last year Red Cross Denmark helped 6,500 families and this year hopefully 7,000 families will receive a basket.
