An unusual hotel with nice swimming pool and health club that is located next door to one of Britain’s last few remaining small theme parks, Camelot. Voted Lancashire’s Family Attraction of the Year 2002, the majority of the rides are suitable for young children and it’s the only place in the UK that has a permanent open-air jousting arena. If you tire of thrills and spills and want something nearby that’s a bit different, the hotel has a new nine-hole miniature golf course as well as an Activity Zone that features paint-balling, 4 by 4 off roading, archery, clay pigeon shooting and more. There is a also the pool and state-of-the-art health club, Vitalia.
Camelot stays open until late in the evening, and the hotel has several restaurants, bars and a nightclub that stay open late. The hotel also has video nights for children, as well as magicians, clowns and games.
