The generous residents of Coventry got into the BBC Children In Need spirit early this morning as they were greeted in person by their very own Pudsey bear.
The famous charity bear appeared overnight on their cars. Car manufacturer PEUGEOT, the sole automotive sponsor of BBC Children in Need with donations of some £1.3M made to date – set to top £1.5M this year – has now revealed that the appearance of the mini Pudseys was down to it.
Residents living around Peugeot’s UK headquarters in Coventry woke up to find an official #PEUGEOTPUDSEY bear, delivered with the help of the all-new PEUGEOT 3008 SUV and the capacious PEUGEOT Boxer Van and a handful of volunteers.
During last year’s BBC Children In Need extravaganza, PEUGEOT’s neighbours in the West Midlands were among the top five most generous regions donating a mightily impressive £2,780,144 to the cause.
Andrew Didlick, Director of Communications, Events and Partnerships at PEUGEOT commented: “You can’t fail to get into the spirit of BBC Children in Need when Pudsey arrives at your doorstep.
“Our neighbours in Coventry have always pulled together to raise funds for a very important cause that gives children access to life-changing care and services, so we’re supremely confident of another successful year of fundraising, and that Pudsey will be going to good homes.”
