This December, Stockport is guaranteed another white Christmas as Merseyway Shopping Centre’s Winter Snow Garden returns for the second year running.
Brimming with fluffy artificial snow, children aged 9 and under can play in the magical gingerbread house, dress up a pair of frosty snowmen, throw soft playable snowballs and write a letter to Santa, all for free.
Complete with a life-size reindeer and glistening Christmas trees, Merseyway’s Winter Snow Garden will be located outside Specsavers from Friday 2nd December – Friday 23rd December.
Merseyway’s Snow Princess will officially open the garden on Saturday 3rd December at midday.
Councillor Kate Butler, Stockport Council’s Executive Member for Economy and Regeneration, said: “It’s very exciting that our local young children will be able to experience a white Christmas at Merseyway. I would encourage families to come to the Winter Snow Garden to enjoy the winter activities whilst supporting our local businesses. There are also plenty of other events in the town centre during Christmas to cater for all ages and interests, so keep an eye out.”

Merseyway is also running two festive giveaways – children who post a letter to Santa at the Winter Snow Garden will be in with a chance of winning an early Christmas present from their Christmas list, while local shoppers could be in with a chance of winning the ultimate Christmas shopping experience courtesy of Merseyway retailers.
