Etac R82, specialist supplier of adaptive products for children and adults, will be providing a wide-ranging and interactive display at Kidz to Adultz North (17.11.16, Event City, Manchester).
New for this Kidz show, Etac R82 will have an area dedicated to “Restoration of Body Shape” looking at asymmetry, change and postural support and challenging ideas about what can be corrected. This will include the innovative “Supershape” adaptable and moulded, back support and seat cushions from Spex, as well as Simple Stuff Works’ sleep systems which provide effective and flexible night time positioning equipment.
Stand A17/A18 will also see the UK launch of R82’s new Scallop – a unique, portable seating concept now available exclusively through R82’s new webshop: www.also4me.com and the new Wombat Living activity chair will debut this year at Event City. In addition, the Molift Smart 150 portable, folding hoist will be demonstrated throughout the day.
To supplement R82’s impressive product showcase, Frances George, Specialist Physiotherapist, MSc, BSc, HPC, MCSP will be available for on-stand discussions and individual specialist advice whilst children can be entertained with the fun “Hook-a-Duck” on-stand activity.
The R82 stand will encompass spacious themed zones to allow visitors of all ages to easily participate in the hands-on displays. These will include:
Functional Educational Zone
R82 will be launching its new Wombat Living at Kidz to Adultz North. An adaptable activity chair providing tilt in space with outstanding levels of comfort and functionality, the new Wombat presents exciting opportunities for children and teens to create their own unique colourful designs. The Functional Educational Area will also include the small, adaptable Nandu seat, and the exciting new Scallop. This clever seating solution allows additional support, for children of all ages, when sitting on a floor or in a chair and can be personally experienced by show visitors. The fabric-based support consists of a folding structure with simple adjustable strapping that offers wrap-around “shell like” postural support whilst still allowing movement. It is particularly suited for children with GMFCS level 1-3. The new Etac Turner Pro and Raiser will also be there to try out.
Bathing and Toileting Zone
From R82’s proven toilet and bathing range, show visitors will find a selection of static and adjustable bathing chairs including the new Flamingo High-Low with back recline features, Heron and Manatee. The spacious Orca Bath tub and Etac’s Swift Mobile Tilt shower commode chair will also be showcased.
Standing and Walking Zone
R82’s friendly and experienced product advisors will provide interactive displays of the Mustang and Crocodile walking aids and Gazelle and Rabbit standing frames. The flexible Mustang gait trainer allows optimal positioning and upper body support and the pioneering Gazelle delivers support and abducted standing.
Mobility Area Zone
This area will include R82’s new Cricket Buggy, Stingray Buggy and car seat, and Kudo wheelchair. The new Cricket is a lightweight, foldable and compact buggy designed to support a child whilst providing optimum working conditions for the carer. The latest Convaid paediatric strollers will also be available including the lightweight Rodeo and Cruiser along with the portable Trekker.
